Conference Theme:
Intangible Heritage of Inland Shipping
The conference “Intangible Heritage of Inland Shipping” explored the rich and often overlooked cultural heritage associated with inland waterways and those who navigated them. Topics included oral traditions, customs, and everyday practices of shipping communities, the preservation of non-material knowledge and skills, storytelling and memory work, as well as challenges in interpretation and presentation within museum contexts.
